moreover, Mark Hurd, HP's chairman, CEO and president, has recorded a video that may also be seen on an OpenVMS thirtieth anniversary internet web site that the seller has deploy. in the video, Hurd tells OpenVMS users that the operating equipment is still a "key product" and that HP "will proceed to support it for the foreseeable future."
in addition, HP remaining week announced an updated edition of the working system it is due out within the next two weeks and will include new hardware aid plus different elements. The business also referred to it plans so as to add help for the JBoss and MySQL open-supply technologies in a subsequent release subsequent 12 months.
OpenVMS became launched on Oct. 25, 1977, and originally regularly occurring without problems as VMS. The utility was developed through DEC, which later turned into bought by means of Compaq computing device Corp., which in flip changed into purchased with the aid of HP in 2002.
The acquisitions made the OpenVMS consumer group frightened -- as did HP's subsequent decision to end development and sales of its AlphaServer programs, the hardware line that become synonymous with OpenVMS. HP says AlphaServer clients should swap to its Itanium-primarily based Integrity servers.
however some users are concerned that pulling the plug on the AlphaServers will send a signal to impartial utility providers that OpenVMS is only a second cousin to HP-UX, the enterprise's edition of Unix, and thereby have an impact on future porting decisions on key purposes.
as an example, Cerner Corp., a Kansas metropolis, Mo.-primarily based vendor of fitness care applications that run on OpenVMS on the AlphaServer line, referred to past this yr that it didn't plan to assist that operating gadget on the Integrity hardware. as an alternative, Cerner had begun offering its flagship Millennium 2007 software on Integrity systems running HP-UX.

He introduced that he needs HP to do greater to keep the existing support of unbiased application carriers for OpenVMS -- and even construct on it.
"i am now not satisfied that they are inserting that message to the companies amazing adequate, and infrequently sufficient, to get the companies to buy into it," mentioned Tollett, who listened to the encompass webcast with Fink.
however Ann McQuaid, generic supervisor of HP's OpenVMS methods division, observed that ninety% of the utility providers that guide OpenVMS have ported functions to the Itanium-primarily based Integrity platform. Altogether, some 1,200 OpenVMS purposes from about 600 businesses are available on the Integrity techniques, in response to McQuaid.
the bulk of the OpenVMS installed base continues to be on AlphaServer programs, with market researcher IDC estimating that there are nonetheless about a hundred and fifty,000 Alpha-based techniques in use. however McQuaid pointed out HP is "seeing a lot of move to Integrity."
The new version of OpenVMS that HP plans to liberate will encompass equipment for managing blade servers, increasing on preliminary blade aid that turned into announced earlier this yr.
JBoss and MySQL are both accessible on OpenVMS now, however they don't seem to be supported by means of HP itself. McQuaid noted that JBoss support will become accessible in subsequent year's first quarter, and that support for MySQL can also observe through mid-2008. purchasers which are the usage of a type of products with OpenVMS will be able to get assist for the open-source know-how from HP below their existing service contracts, she brought.
HP also plans to add help for its Integrity virtual desktop expertise to OpenVMS, beginning with prototype models which are scheduled for unlock next yr, McQuaid talked about. Integrity digital desktop allows users to create distinct virtual servers.
Robert Gezelter, an OpenVMS advisor in Flushing, N.Y., said he has been very convinced with the working gadget running on Integrity systems. The software has been incredibly reliable and usable on that platform, Gezelter noted, adding that relocating to Itanium-based mostly hardware has diminished the charge of using OpenVMS.To touch upon this text and different PCWorld content material, consult with our fb page or our Twitter feed.

A brand-new protection shelter heard an alarm emanating from a usaequipment and panicked. He hit the emergency power-off button, which took down the total site. fortunately, the brokerage had a catastrophe-tolerant OpenVMS cluster and a 2nd information core 130 miles away with a full complement of servers and comprehensive backup of saved statistics.

Oracle XA functionality is supported only within the Oracle Database acting in the role of Transaction Manager as well as Resource Manager.
Oracle XA is the Oracle implementation of the X/Open Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP) XA interface. The XA standard specifies a bidirectional interface between resource managers (for example, Oracle) that provide access to shared resources within transactions, and between a transaction service that monitors and resolves transactions.
Oracle Call Interface has XA functionality. When building a TP-monitor XA application, ensure that the TP-monitor libraries (that define the symbols ax_reg and ax_unreg) are placed in the link line before the Oracle client shared library. This link restriction is required only when using the XA dynamic registration (Oracle XA switch xaoswd).
Oracle Database XA calls are defined in both the client shared library (libclntsh.so) and the client static library (libclntst.olb). These libraries are located in the ORA_ROOT:[lib32] directory.

The following section contains information about issues related to Oracle10g and associated products such as Oracle Database installation, configuration, and upgrade:3.1 Enabling Automated Backups
While installing Oracle Database, the Specify Backup and Recovery Options screen may appear truncated if the system does not have the required fonts installed. If the system has only fixed-width fonts, you may not be able to fully specify the required information in the Backup Job Credentials area of the screen. To work around this issue, do not select Enable Automated Backups on this screen. After the installation is complete, use Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control to enable automated backups.3.2 Oracle interMedia
A known issue exists with Oracle interMedia on Oracle Database 10g. The problem may arise when making calls to mmtk_process() or mmtk_ext_process() in ordibody.sql, yielding errors such as the following:ERROR at line 1: ORA-29400: data cartridge error IMG-00714: internal error ORA-28579: network error during callback from external procedure agent ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMGEXTCODEC_PKG", line 164 ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMGEXTCODEC_PKG", line 160 ORA-06512: at line 1 ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMG_PKG", line 525 ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE", line 59 ORA-06512: at "TKIDIUSER.IMG_PROCESSCOPY", line 12 ORA-06512: at "TKIDIUSER.TKIDIPCU_MAIN", line 57 ORA-06512: at line 1
The problem is being tracked internally by Oracle bug number 4203210.3.3 CRS/RAC Known Issues
The following are known Cluster Ready Services (CRS) issues in the current release:
While installing CRS, the device on which an installation is created is visible and accessible across all nodes of a cluster installation. For example, for a CRS installation created on disk A to run on nodes B and C, disk A is accessible on both nodes. For this reason, it is not necessary to copy a device across nodes. You may see error messages similar to the following in the .ERR files created under the log directory of orainventory:Error in copying file : rootadd.com oracle.ops.mgmt.cluster.ClusterException: PRKC-1004 : Problem in copying file to node
These errors can be safely ignored.
During a Custom installation of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Network Configuration Assistant (NETCA) is displayed at the end of the installation procedure even though the Database Creation option is not selected. You must run Virtual IP Configuration Assistant (VIPCA) before running NETCA for RAC. To do so, perform one of the following tasks:
Cancel the NETCA, and then run VIPCA, NETCA and Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) in that order.
Run VIPCA from a separate window, then continue with NETCA that is displayed during custom installation, and then run DBCA.
In the RAC database alert log files, messages similar to the following are displayed:SSKGXP_IP: Primary interface down operation location error error 0
These messages are displayed if a private interconnect is not selected for RAC cluster communication, and the public IP address of the nodes are used for cluster communication. These messages can be ignored.
While running srvctl or crs_* commands, you must enclose the arguments to these commands in double quotes. For example:SRVCTL START DATABASE "-d" "orcl" CRS_STAT "-p" "ora.ORCL.ORCL1.inst"
Unlike Java, OpenVMS is case insensitive. Thus, the SRVCTL commands throws an error if the arguments are not passed with the right case. Moreover, the resource name you enter for CRS_* commands should match the name it is registered with in the Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR).
While running Virtual IP Configuration Assistant (VIPCA), tracing information is displayed on the terminal from where VIPCA is run. You can ignore this information. To suppress the tracing information, you must define the following logical name before running VIPCA.$ DEFINE X$SRVM_TRACE X
Refer to section 1.5.6 of Administrator's Guide to set the security for external jobs.3.5 Non-Applicable Parameters
The following INIT.ORA parameters are not applicable to OpenVMS. Do not change their default values:
The following are known problems in the current release:
Bug 4420104: Temporary files PERLPIPE*.COM created in login directory
This has no impact on the functioning of the EMAgent. The temporary files can be manually deleted. Refer to the bug for more details and latest updates.
Bug 4420463: Delays in Listener Start/Stop from Console
This problem has not been observed in an Oracle installation, but has only been observed within the internal test QA area, which was set up with additional spooling of debugging information. However, the latency may reproduce in a customer environment, although very unlikely. To correct this, repeat the operation or perform the operation directly on the Server box where the listener is running. The modified status is automatically picked by the EM console within a few minutes of the direct operation.
5333539: ORA errors with additional information are incorrectly reported in 10g release 1.
The ORA errors that contain additional errors, the additional information get translated into VMS errors.
If you select 'Generate Database Create Scripts' when running the Database Configuration Assistant, then error messages similar to the following are displayed:P2-0310: unable to open file "DISK:[INSTALL_TEST.DHAYTER.Home15]/sysman/admin/emdrep/sql/core/latest/admin/admin_check_repos_user.sql" SP2-0310: unable to open file "DISK:[INSTALL_TEST.DHAYTER.Home15]/sysman/admin/emdrep/sql/core/latest/admin/admin_create_repos_user.sql"
These errors can be safely ignored. It is not required to create a repository on OpenVMS, since the Database Console product is not supported.
When performing an Oracle Database Custom installation, the following message may appear in the ORA_ROOT:[ADMIN.sid.CREATE]JSERVER.LOG file:1 :ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_JAVA", line 236 1 :ORA-06512: at line 2 1 :ORA-29558: JAccelerator (NCOMP) not installed. Refer to Install Guide for instructions.
This message can be safely ignored as the JAccelerator component is not supported.
After running the RUNINSTALLER command, messages similar to the following may appear on the terminal session from which the command was started:Unknown host: _WSA38 X Toolkit Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-Menu-Medium-R-Normal--*-120-*-*-P-*-ISO8859-1" to type FontStruct
The Installer GUI should still appear and these messages can be ignored.
The following sections provide information about issues that affect other Oracle products:4.1 NetCA Help
In the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant (NetCA) help, the link to the Select Oracle Context help topic is broken. The text for this topic is as follows:
Directory Usage Configuration, Select Oracle Context
Oracle administrative content has been found in more than one location in the directory. Oracle administrative content is stored in Oracle Context, a subtree in the directory that stores Oracle entries.
From the list, select or enter the location you want to use as the default Oracle Context location from which this computer will access Oracle entries, such as connect identifiers.4.2 NetCA IPC Protocol
If you select the use of the IPC protocol for the network layer, NetCA cannot reliably determine whether or not the key value specified in the protocol is in use. To let the user specify whether or not the key is actually available, NetCA displays the following message:
The information provided for this listener is currently in use by other software on this computer. You can proceed with this configuration as it is, but it will not be possible to start this listener until the conflict is resolved. Would you like to continue with the configuration anyway?
When this message is displayed, you should check if there are other listener processes on the system. In addition, you should ensure that the key value you have specified is not already in use. If it is not in use, then proceed with the configuration session. If it is in use, then shut down the listener using the key. Alternatively, you can use the NetCA screen to specify that you do not want to continue with the installation and then select a key value that is not in use on the system.4.3 Grid Features
Oracle Database New Features for Oracle Database 10g release 1 (10.1) lists two Grid features that are not available in this release of Oracle Database 10g: Resonance and Transparent Session Migration.4.4 Installing Enterprise Security Manager
To install Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), install Oracle Client and choose the Administrator installation type.4.5 Full-Text Searching with Oracle Text
For full-text searching with Oracle Text, you must create XML tables manually.
If you will need to use Oracle Text indexes for text-based ora:contains searches over a collection of XML elements, then do not use the XML schema annotation storeVarrayAsTable="true". This annotation causes element collections to be persisted as rows in an Index Organized Table (IOT). Oracle Text does not support IOTs.
To be able to use Oracle Text to search the contents of element collections, set parameter genTables="false" during schema registration. Then create the necessary tables manually, without using the ORGANIZATION INDEX OVERFLOW clause. The tables will then be heap-organized instead of index-organized (IOT), as shown in the following example:CREATE TABLE PurchaseOrder of XMLTYPE XMLSCHEMA http://localhost:8080/home/SCOTT/poSource/xsd/purchaseOrder.xsd ELEMENT "PurchaseOrder" VARRAY "XMLDATA"."ACTIONS"."ACTION" STORE AS TABLE ACTION_TABLE ((PRIMARY KEY (NESTED_TABLE_ID, ARRAY_INDEX))) VARRAY "XMLDATA"."LINEITEMS"."LINEITEM" STORE AS TABLE LINEITEM_TABLE ((PRIMARY KEY (NESTED_TABLE_ID, ARRAY_INDEX))); 4.6 Oracle Net Configuration Files
Files such as LISTENER.ORA, TNSNAMES.ORA, SQLNET.ORA, if configured manually, or copied and edited from earlier releases of Oracle Database may have record attributes that are incompatible with Oracle Database 10g release 2. The software cannot read such files. The required record format is stream_lf and the record attributes are carriage_control and carriage_return.
This may result in:
Inability to start the listener
Services not registered with the listener
Inability to connect to other databases
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
Run the following command on each file affected:$ DIR/FULL filename
An output similar to the following may be displayed:Record format: Variable length, maximum 255 bytes Record attributes: Carriage return carriage control
If the output includes the preceding entries, then run the following command:$ CONVERT/FDL=SYS$INPUT filename filename RECORD CARRIAGE_CONTROL CARRIAGE_RETURN FORMAT STREAM_LF ^Z 5 Known Restrictions
The following sections lists current restrictions for using Oracle Database 10g.
OpenVMS always performs its I/O asynchronously. Several INIT.ORA parameters that mimic asynchronous behavior are not needed on OpenVMS. Refer to the Oracle Database Administrator's Guide, section 1.5.3, for the list of parameters that are not supported on OpenVMS.
Copying Oracle Executables
Moving executables from one OpenVMS machine to another is not recommended due to the usage of shared libraries and to the difficulty of ensuring valid referencing. Oracle recommends that you relink on the node where the executable will run.
Oracle Targets Paths in the Enterprise Manager Agent
Due to an inherent characteristic of the Perl language, wherein it attempts to translate any string with the '$' character in it as a Perl variable, it is strongly recommended that the paths used for Oracle targets, such as oracle_home, listener_ora_dir do not contain the '$' (dollar) character in them. This issue is tracked through Oracle bug 4299411.
During installation, when you click Next on the Installation Details screen, Oracle Universal Installer processes the information that you provided up to that point. This may take 10 minutes. During this time, it may appear that Oracle Universal Installer is not responding. There may be similar delays on other installer screens.
Database Configuration Assistant Runtime Considerations
When running the Database Configuration Assistant, the assistant performs background operations such as running databases. As a result, some of the assistant screens do not change for 10 minutes or more, depending on the system performance.
If the Password Management button on the last Database Configuration Assistant screen is not visible, then expand the Database Configuration Assistant window to use the Password Management feature.
Silent Installation is not supported with this Oracle Database release on OpenVMS. Customers are free to attempt silent installation and many install scenarios should pose no problem, but if issues do arise, installation must be done interactively.
SCSNODE and TCP$INET_HOST
Installation of Oracle Database 10g will fail if the values of the SYSGEN parameter SCSNODE and the logical name TCP$INET_HOST are not the same. These must be configured to deliver same value, at least temporarily, for the install to succeed.6 Documentation Accessibility

System Administrator or User
To use the TCP/IP access method with an OpenVMS host for SAS/CONNECT and SAS/SHARE, perform these tasks:
The following sections describe the system requirements for using the TCP/IP access method, which supports two particular host platforms: VAX and AXP.TCP/IP with OpenVMS on VAX
To use the TCP/IP access method with OpenVMS on a VAX system, you must have Version 5.3 or a subsequent version of OpenVMS and one of the following packages installed on any OpenVMS node that is used as a local or a remote host.
To use the TCP/IP access method with OpenVMS on an AXP system, your system must be running Release 6.09 or a subsequent release of SAS/CONNECT or SAS/SHARE and one of the following:
You may need to set specific SAS options and variables to allow the desired connections with SAS/CONNECT or SAS/SHARE when using the TCP/IP communications access method.
Consult with your network administrator to determine what variables must be set and what values to assign to them.
You may specify a SAS variable in one of these forms:
Values for these variables can contain up to eight characters, consisting of alphanumeric characters, the percent sign (%), the dollar sign ($), the pound sign (#), the at sign (@), and the underscore (_).
Note: If you set the same variable using different forms, typically the last variable setting will take precedence and override an earlier variable setting.Displaying SAS System Option Settings
To display the settings of the SAS system options in the SAS log, use the OPTIONS procedure. The following statement produces a list of options with a brief explanation of what each option does:proc options; run;
For SAS/CONNECT, you must supply identifying information to sign on without a script to a remote host running a spawner program. A SAS/SHARE server, running secured, requires identification from each connecting client. The next two sections outline the version-specific methods for specifying client identification for SAS/CONNECT and SAS/SHARE. The third section describes how to configure your SAS/SHARE server to either require or not require connecting clients to supply user identification.Providing Client Identification in a Version 8 Session
In Version 8, you provide client identification to a SAS/CONNECT remote host or a SAS/SHARE server using the USER= and PASSWORD= options. These options are valid in the following statements:PROC SQLConnect to Remote
Specifying client identification in the TCPSEC variable is still accepted but is not recommended in Version 8. The USER= and PASSWORD= options take precedence over the client TCPSEC variable when both are specified. For example, a SAS/SHARE client's execution of a LIBNAME statement with values assigned to the USER= and PASSWORD= options would override a TCPSEC variable setting in the same client SAS session.
Here is the syntax and definitions for these options:USER | USERNAME | USERID | UID=username | _PROMPT_ PASSWORD | PASSWD | PASS | PWD | PW=password | _PROMPT_
Specifying these options allows a user on the local host whose username and password have been verified to access the remote host.username is a valid userid for the remote host and is thus host-dependent in form. If the value contains blanks or special characters, it must be enclosed in quotes. password is the password, if any, required for authentication of the supplied username. This value will not be echoed in the SAS log. If the value contains blanks or special characters, it must be enclosed in quotes. _PROMPT_ specifies that the SAS System prompts the client for username and password.
Note: The values provided when prompted must NOT be quoted.
Specifying USER=_PROMPT_ and omitting the PASSWORD= specification will cause SAS to prompt you for both userid and password.
This is especially useful for allowing the SAS statements containing the USER= and PASSWORD= options to be copied and otherwise effectively reused by others.
For SAS/SHARE, the values supplied for the USER= and PASSWORD= options are valid for the duration of the remote host connection. Additional accesses of the remote host while the connection to that host is still in effect do not require re-supplying of the USER= and PASSWORD= options. For example, while the first connecting library assign to a SAS/SHARE server may require specification of the options, subsequent assigns to the same server will not need specification of these options as long as the original connection is in effect. A subsequent re-connect to the same server or connect to a different server would require re-supplying of the USER= and PASSWORD= options.
Here is a Version 8 example for SAS/SHARE:libname test 'prog2 a' user=joeblue password="2muchfun" server=share1;
For SAS/CONNECT, these values are valid until SIGNOFF.
Here is a Version 8 example for SAS/CONNECT:signon rmthost user=joeblack password=born2run;
As a security precaution, PASSWORD= field entries echoed in the log are replaced with Xs. If _PROMPT_ was specified for entering the password, the entry would not be displayed on the screen as it is typed.Providing Client Identification in a pre-Version 8 Session
In Version 6 and Version 7, you provide client identification to a SAS/CONNECT remote host or a SAS/SHARE server using the TCPSEC variable. TCPSEC must be defined on the local host before you connect to the remote host (using the SIGNON statement) or access a SAS/SHARE server (using the LIBNAME statement).
Here is the syntax and description of this variable.TCPSEC:==userid.password | _PROMPT_ userid.password specifies the remote host userid and password and is thus host-dependent in form. If either the userid or password contains blanks or special characters, it must be enclosed in quotes. A period (.) is used as a delimiter between the userid and password; and therefore is not a valid character. _PROMPT_ specifies that the SAS system prompt the client for the userid and password.
Note: The values provided when prompted must NOT be quoted. This technique is especially useful when the configuration file specifying this variable is shared among many users.
Examples:TCPSEC:==bass.time2go TCPSEC:==_PROMPT_ Providing Userid-Based Security for a SAS/SHARE Server
The TCPSEC variable also specifies whether the TCP/IP access method performs user authentication before connecting to a SAS/SHARE server. The TCPSEC variable must be set on the server before you start the SAS/SHARE server.
Here is the syntax and description of this variable._SECURE_ The _SECURE_ value for the TCPSEC variable causes the TCP/IP access method to attempt to authenticate connecting SAS/SHARE clients. Each client connecting using TCP/IP is required to supply a userid and password valid for the host on which the server is running.
Examples:TCPSEC:==_SECURE_ SAS/CONNECT Only Options and Variables
The TCPPORTFIRST and TCPPORTLAST options restrict the range of TCP/IP ports through which local hosts can remotely connect to remote hosts.
These options must be set at the SAS/CONNECT remote host.
Define the range of TCP/IP ports by assigning a beginning range value to TCPPORTFIRST and an ending range value to TCPPORTLAST, within the range of 0 through 32767.
Consult with your network administrator for advice about these settings.
Use the following syntax for the configuration file or SAS invocation:/TCPPORTFIRST=n /TCPPORTLAST=n
In the following example, the local host is restricted to TCP/IP ports 4020 through 4050 when making a remote host connection:/tcpportfirst=4020; /tcpportlast=4050;
To restrict the range of ports to only one port, you may set the TCPPORTFIRST and TCPPORTLAST options to the same number.
Note: On the remote host, you may set TCPPORTFIRST and TCPPORTLAST at a SAS invocation or in the configuration file.
TCPTN3270 is an environment variable that is set on the local host to support connections to CMS and OS/390 remote hosts that use the full-screen 3270 TELNET protocol. The following sample script files are provided with SAS/CONNECT:CMS TCPCMS32.SCR OS/390 TCPTSO32.SCR
See Identifying a Script File for Signing Off and Signing On for more information about these script files.
Note: You must use the environment variable form to set TCPTN3270.
To set the TCPTN3270 variable, enter the following command on the OpenVMS local host:TCPTN3270:==1
If this variable is not set, the TCP/IP access method will use the TELNET line mode protocol by default.AUTHENCR:==OPTIONAL | REQUIRED
or%let AUTHENCR=OPTIONAL | REQUIRED;
By default, a secure server accepts userids and passwords from clients in either encrypted or plain text form. The option to accept either form ensures compatibility with client sessions running older releases of SAS software.
To require only encrypted userids and passwords, you must set the AUTHENCR environment variable or a SAS macro variable. Requiring encryption requires that all clients have been upgraded to Release 6.11 or the 6.09 Enhanced Release of SAS software.
Setting this variable in a server session enables encryption for clients connecting to a secured server. The values for this variable follow:OPTIONAL means that a client can optionally encrypt the username and password that it sends to the server. This is the default. When using the default, the server allows connections from clients that are incapable of using encryption because they are running earlier versions of SAS that do not support encryption (releases prior to the 6.09 Enhanced Release as well as Release 6.11) and from clients that are capable of encryption. REQUIRED means that each client must encrypt the username and the password that it sends to the server.
See Setting SAS Options and Variables for examples of the forms that you can use to specify the AUTHENCR variable.

OpenVMS has the capability to:
Unlike most UNIX systems, the licensed OpenVMS operating system is bare bones (i.e., to be fully functional, additional licenses must be purchased to create a useful system). For instance, TCP/IP, programming languages, SMP, clustering, file serving, HTTPD server, disk shadowing, and Motif (X Windows) must be licensed explicitly. This scheme means that the manager only has to pay for the features that are used. So, if the machine is to be only a server and no software development is anticipated, no language license needs to be purchased. The system manager can tailor the licenses (thus, the support level and costs) to the intended use of the machine.
All OpenVMS software requires a license, except user-supported freeware. For the purpose of initializing the system, however, the system manager may run from the console without a license. License requirements vary according to the type of CPU on which its associated software will run. Requirements also vary according to the intended usage. The order number for each product licensed by Compaq is found in the software product description (SPD) of the appropriate version of OpenVMS. Specifically, to run OpenVMS on a single CPU with interactive users, two licenses must be loaded:
Operating System Base License, which permits one login from the console
OpenVMS Concurrent-Use License, specifying how many simultaneous users are permitted to log in
If the computer has multiple CPUs that is, symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) one more license...
