IBM announced final evening that it's selling the closing add-ons from its 1995 acquisition of Lotus to Indian company HCL for $1.eight billion.
IBM paid $3.5 billion for Lotus returned in the day. The massive items listed below are Lotus Notes, Domino and Portal. These were a large part of IBM’s business enterprise for a very long time, but ultimate 12 months huge Blue begun to pull away, selling the development half to HCL, whereas protecting control of income and advertising.
This announcement marks the end of the road for IBM involvement. With the construction of the platform out of its control, and in need of cash after spending $34 billion for pink Hat, in all probability IBM with ease decided it now not made feel to keep any a part of this in-apartment.
As for HCL, it sees an opportunity to proceed to build the Notes/Domino enterprise, and it’s seizing it with this buy. “The significant-scale deployments of these products give us with a great probability to attain and serve lots of world businesses throughout a wide array of industries and markets,” C Vijayakumar, president and CEO at HCL technologies, said in a statement announcing the deal.
Alan Lepofsky, an analyst at Constellation analysis who keeps close watch on the commercial enterprise collaboration area, says the sale could signify a fresh delivery for software that IBM hasn’t really been paying shut attention to for a while. “HCL is way more drawn to Notes/Domino than IBM has been for a decade. they are investing closely, attempting to rejuvenate the company,” Lepofsky advised TechCrunch.
while this application may also feel long in the tooth, Notes and Domino are still in use in many corners of the business, and this is very true in EMEA (Europe, core East and Africa) and AP (Asia Pacific), Lepofsky pointed out.
He brought that IBM seems to be absolutely exiting the collaboration house with this sale. “It seems that IBM is performed with collaboration, out of the online game,” he pointed out.
This circulate makes experience for IBM, which is moving in a special direction because it develops its cloud enterprise. The purple Hat acquisition in October, in selected, suggests that the company desires to embrace deepest and hybrid cloud deployments, and older utility like Lotus Notes and Domino don’t truly play a job in that world.
The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval approaches, is anticipated to shut in the core of next yr.
IBM obtained Lotus software returned in 1995 for $three.5 billion. it be now divesting the technology, along with six different one-time cornerstone commercial enterprise purposes.
There changed into a time when Lotus Notes and Domino have been the cornerstones of IBM's application portfolio, enabling business collaboration and productivity. those days at the moment are during the past, as IBM is divesting those belongings, together with a number of other functions, to HCL applied sciences.
HCL technologies will pay IBM $1.eight billion, with the deal anticipated to close in mid-2019. apart from Notes and Domino, HCL is buying a few different business functions, including: Appscan for cozy utility construction, BigFix for comfy machine administration, Unica (on-premises) for advertising and marketing automation, Commerce (on-premises) for omni-channel eCommerce, Portal (on-premises) for digital event, and Connections for workstream collaboration.
"We believe the time is right to divest these select collaboration, advertising and commerce application property, that are increasingly delivered as standalone items," John Kelly, IBM senior vice president, Cognitive solutions and research, wrote in a media advisory. " at the same time, we agree with these items are a strong strategic healthy for HCL, and that HCL is smartly located to force innovation and boom for their shoppers."
IBM has increasingly been stepping into cloud and synthetic intelligence over the last four years, and has built up other assets that it will center of attention on.purposes
many of the applications being bought to HCL were at first obtained by IBM from other providers.
IBM acquired Lotus application, maker of Notes and Domino, in 1995 for $three.5 billion, notwithstanding the Lotus company wasn't dropped by using IBM except 2012.
AppScan which is now being offered to HCL, changed into once the cornerstone of the IBM Rational application portfolio. IBM bought the AppScan product portfolio as a part of the acquisition of safety seller Watchfire in June 2007.
BigFix was bought by IBM to turn into part of its Tivoli operations division in July 2010, while Unica was bought with the aid of IBM in August 2010 for $480 million.HCL technologies
HCL technologies is based in Noida, India, and positions itself as a digital transformation company. HCL and IBM had already been partnering on lots of the bought software assets.
"We continue to see high-quality alternatives available in the market to enhance our Mode-3 (items and systems) choices," C Vijayakumar, President & CEO, HCL applied sciences, wrote in a media advisory. "The items that we're buying are in colossal growing to be market areas like protection, marketing and Commerce, which might be strategic segments for HCL. many of these items are smartly considered through shoppers and located within the suitable quadrant with the aid of trade analysts."

IBM published a series of screenshots of the tentative iNotes user interface, with the disclaimer that particulars are subject to exchange without note. these changes may additionally likely include nearer adherence to Apple's Human Interface guidelines for the iPhone, as described in Apple's Introduction to Safari web content e book for iPhone.
The photos below are AppleInsider's composited representations of what the Lotus iNotes client will seem like within the Safari browser, together with aid for e mail attachments, calendar pursuits, and contacts.
The talents of a brand new platform
The customary Lotus, which IBM purchased in 1995, stumbled within the mid 80s partly as a result of its weak assist for the new Macintosh. The enterprise then held a lock on the DOS spreadsheet market with Lotus 1-2-three, however its equal product for Apple's new Mac, known as Lotus Jazz, failed miserably in part due to its lack of following Apple's human interface guidelines. Jazz changed into additionally high priced, late, and buggy.
That misstep allowed Microsoft to enter the Mac spreadsheet market just about unchallenged, and rise from being a DOS license distributor into a new position as a major desktop software developer with Excel on the Macintosh. Microsoft later ported Excel to the DOS computer using its windows ambiance, and directly ate into Lotus' 1-2-3 earnings.
Lotus finally ported its 1-2-three flagship to the Mac in 1991, however via then it was too late. After IBM bought the remains of Lotus four years later, the pair floundered for years within the desktop software market, with Lotus' SmartSuite constantly dropping market share to Microsoft's workplace, in huge measure as a result of the indisputable fact that Microsoft might promote office licenses without delay to workstation makers tied to its dominant home windows platform.
currently, IBM has embarked on a brand new method that backs sun's OpenOffice suite. IBM is marketing its distribution of the open source choice to Microsoft workplace under the name Lotus Symphony, and has announced plans to deliver the suite for free to Mac users, in addition to intently integrating the productiveness suite to its Lotus Notes messaging server.
IBM betting on Apple
support for the iPhone in Lotus Notes is only IBM's latest step in investing in Apple's systems as a aggressive alternative to Microsoft's home windows. An AP record from January mentioned IBM spokesman Mike Azzi as noting that his company has "plenty in ordinary" with Apple. "we'll go-pollinate," he pointed out.
previous this 12 months in can also, IBM launched its Informix statistics Server 11 for Mac OS X Server. And over the route of the closing year, distinctive businesses within the business have launched pilot courses geared toward evaluating assist for migrating to Apple's Mac computer systems within the business.
An preliminary examine at IBM research, which all started in October of 2007, discovered that 86% of these collaborating wanted to maintain their MacBook professional laptops over returning returned to IBM ThinkPads running home windows. “It has been more convenient getting to know the Mac than discovering Vista,” one participant mentioned. IBM has seeing that accelerated its Mac pilot software.
business a virtually untapped expertise for Apple
regardless of enthusiastic interest in Macs from users and a strategic competitive hobby in windows options from Apple among executives, IBM currently has a really small share (less than 1%) of its international staff the usage of Macs. Many other agencies in a similar way have a small share of Macs in their put in base.
youngsters, Apple's dynamic and sustained growth in different markets, including its training stronghold and the a lot less complicated to enter purchaser market, are having an effect on adoption within the business. income of Apple's Mac computers have sharply risen at a cost of between 30 and forty% 12 months over 12 months (Mac market share), in an usual workstation market it really is barely turning out to be by using 3-4%.
A survey of 750 global IT administrators and C-level executives by means of the yankee group found that essentially 4 out of 5 agencies —or approximately eighty%—have at least a number of Macs and the Mac OS X operating system installed of their networks, and just about one-quarter observed their firm had a "huge" number of Macs put in in their network of greater than 30 to 50 contraptions.
IBM's iNotes is the newest example of how the iPhone is helping to stoke activity in Apple's hardware, software, and development tools within the business. In its initial iPhone 2.0 announcement, Apple pointed out that over a 3rd of Fortune 500 groups had sought entry to the company's ongoing iPhone enterprise Beta program.

Before delving into the inner workings of the OSGi console, it is best to briefly explain OSGi. OSGi stands for Open Services Gateway initiative framework. This framework allows software to be written and executed as independent components. In OSGi-speak, these components are referred to as bundles. OSGi is used in a wide range of applications, from client programs such as Eclipse and IBM Lotus Notes, to mobile phones, to server applications such as IBM Lotus Domino. As a result of their modular nature, OSGi bundles can be started, stopped, and debugged on an individual basis, without the need for stopping or restarting the entire platform. Both the Domino server and the Notes client use Eclipse’s implementation of OSGi (Equinox) as their OSGi runtime platform.
OSGi was added to the Domino platform in release 8.5.2. As a result, in Domino 8.5.2, the XPages runtime was repackaged to run as OSGi bundles (instead of just a regular collection of Java JARS), also referred to as Eclipse plug-ins.
The OSGi console allows for the input of commands that the OSGi platform then performs. The platform posts the results of such commands back to the console. The OSGi platform itself has a whole host of commands that can simplify the troubleshooting of problems. The OSGi console can assist developers in developing XPages controls and applications, as well as assisting support personnel in diagnosing runtime issues. Developers who extend the XPages runtime by creating libraries will find the OSGi console commands to be a particularly powerful tool in analyzing problems. The OSGi console is of particular use when the developer/administrator needs to know whether individual plug-ins (or sets of plug-ins) are loading correctly or which version of a plug-in is in use.
As mentioned earlier, OSGi is embedded within both the Notes client and the Domino server. Depending on where your XPages application is running (whether on the client or the server), your method of accessing the OSGi console will vary. We start by explaining how to access the OSGi console on the Domino server.
OSGi is embedded within the HTTP task on the Domino server, as a result, the OSGi console is started automatically whenever the HTTP task is started. OSGi console commands are routed to the OSGi console via the HTTP task. That is, when entering an OSGi console command on the Domino server, the user must tell the HTTP task to route the specified command to the OSGi console—for example:tell http osgi <<command>>
Here, <<command>> is the name of the OSGi console command. Any OSGi command can be executed using the preceding syntax.
When it comes to OSGi commands, every developer and administrator should know several rudimentary commands. These commands can be your “go to” commands when problems arise—say, when you suspect bundle loading might be a factor. Even when you do not think that bundle loading is the problem, it is often best to first confirm that the bundle is actually loaded before proceeding with other debugging techniques.
Table 3.2 lists some of the more commonly used OSGi commands that are available to use for diagnosing plug-in issues on the Domino server (and also the Notes client). In Table 3.2, bundle-symbolic-name is referenced extensively. This is the name by which the OSGi platform references bundles. bundle-symbolic-name correlates directly to the Bundle-SymbolicName manifest header, often referred to as the plug-in name.Table 3.2. OSGi Console Commands
tell http osgi diag <bundle-symbolic-name>
Diagnoses the status of the bundle whose name is provided. Determines whether the bundle is resolved and, if not, states why the bundle is not resolved.
tell http osgi ss <bundle-symbolic-name>
Lists the status of all bundles in the system. Optionally, a symbolic name or a symbolic name prefix can be provided to obtain the status of a particular bundle or a subset of bundles.
tell http osgi start <bundle-symbolic-name>
Starts the bundle with the specified symbolic name.
tell http osgi stop <bundle-symbolic-name>
Stops the bundle with the specified symbolic name.
tell http osgi b <bundle-symbolic-name>
Prints metadata relating to the specified bundle.
tell http osgi headers <bundle-symbolic-name>
Lists the OSGi headers for the specified bundle.
tell http osgi help
Lists all the OSGi command available on the server, along with some text describing each command.
All the commands listed in Table 3.2 can be entered via the Domino server console, with the results of such commands being printed back to the console, as illustrated in Figure 3.4.
Figure 3.4. Running an OSGi command on the Domino Server Console
All the commands referenced in Table 3.2 can alternatively take the bundle id as a parameter (instead of the bundle-symbolic-name). The bundle id is a numeric ID that the OSGi runtime assigns to the bundle during platform initialization. The ID might vary from instance to instance of the platform, but users might find it easier to input than having to enter the entire bundle symbolic name. Examples of how to determine and use the bundle id are given later in this chapter.
Rarely does a single OSGi console command answer all the questions on why a plug-in is not loading or operating as expected. The following sections explain in greater detail how you can use each of these commands and the results you can expect to see from executing such commands.diag <bundle-symbolic-name>
This is one of the most valuable commands in your arsenal and will likely be the one you’ll use most frequently when diagnosing issues. You can use this command to determine whether a bundle is resolved within the OSGi platform. The status returned by this command will be one of the following:
If No unresolved constraints is the returned status, it suggests that the system has recognized the bundle and that all dependencies of the bundle are satisfied. When an Unresolved constraint status is returned, it suggests that one or more bundles or packages that the bundle requires are missing or cannot be loaded. It is worth noting here that a bundle might still fail to start even though the OSGi console reports that the bundle has been resolved. If a bundle fails to start and is resolved, some code in the bundle’s activator likely is failing (throwing an exception).
Sample usage:tell http osgi diag com.ibm.xsp.core
Listing 3.8 shows the typical output of running the diag command against the com.ibm.xsp.core plug-in.Listing 3.8. Result of Running the diag Command Against a Specific Bundle—Successful Case > tell http osgi diag com.ibm.xsp.core 10/17/2011 09:43:14 PM initial@reference:file:../../shared/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.xsp. core_184.108.40.20610629-1645/ 10/17/2011 09:43:14 PM No unresolved constraints.
In this case, the diag command reports that there were No unresolved constraints against the entered bundle symbolic name—in other words, the system recognizes the given bundle. Upon closer examination, the user can obtain further information about the bundle in question. It can determine where the bundle being used by the platform is installed, and the platform-assigned bundle id can also be obtained.
From reading the console output, the user can see that the bundle is installed to ../../shared/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.xsp.core_220.127.116.1110629-1645. The location specified is relative to the osgi/rcp/eclipse directory, which is a child of the Domino program directory. In this case, the console output indicates that the plug-in is installed at: <domino program directory>/osgi/shared/eclipse/plugins.
Finally, the output states the platform-assigned bundle id for the specified bundle. 119 is the id assigned to this bundle in this example. As stated previously, the OSGi commands listed here can use the bundle id interchangeably. In this example, executing the following command has identical output to that in Listing 3.8.
Sample usage:tell http osgi diag 119
Listing 3.9 shows sample output of running the diag command in an unsuccessful scenario.Listing 3.9. Result of Running the diag Command Against a Specific Bundle—Error Case > tell http osgi diag com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt 09/09/2011 04:05:51 PM update@../../../data/domino/workspace/applications/eclipse/plugins/com. ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt_18.104.22.168108111413.jar 09/09/2011 04:05:51 PM Direct constraints which are unresolved: 09/09/2011 04:05:51 PM Missing host com.ibm.xsp.extlib_0.0.0.
In Listing 3.9, you can see that the OSGi platform reports that the bundle in question is not resolved as a result of a missing dependency. We can see from the console output that the OSGi platform has actually found the bundle that we are looking for (com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt), but as one of the bundles that com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt depends on is not resolved, the com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt bundle does not get resolved itself. Looking a little more closely at the console output, we can determine the following:
The bundle com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt is installed at ../../../data/domino/workspace/applications/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt_22.214.171.124108111413.jar. We now know that this path is relative to the <domino program directory>/osgi/rcp/eclipse directory. Hence, we can deduce that com.ibm.extlib.sbt is installed at the <domino program directory>/data/domino/workspace/applications/eclipse/plugins/ directory.
The OSGi platform–assigned bundle id for this bundle is 116.
One other tidbit of information can be extracted from the console output, in this case. The final line of the output tells us that the host is missing:Missing host com.ibm.xsp.extlib_0.0.0
This tells us that the bundle we are looking for (com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt) is, in fact, a plug-in fragment, and the unresolved constraint (com.ibm.xsp.extlib) is the host plug-in.ss, ss <bundle-symbolic-name>, or ss <bundle-name-prefix>
Similar to the diag command, this command quickly determines the status of a particular bundle—or all the bundles installed in the platform. Users can optionally specify a bundle name or a bundle name prefix to get the status of specific bundles. The returned status shows the bundle id, state, and bundle name of all bundles. In many situations, this command is just as useful as the diag command because it also reports the status of a bundle. This command does not tell the user why a particular bundle is not loading, but it does tell the user the state of a bundle.

Similar to Listing 3.10, Listing 3.11 shows the results of executing the ss command, only this time the command is passed a bundle symbolic name as a parameter. The ss command finds all bundles on the system that either start with the parameter or have a bundle symbolic name that is the same as the parameter. Listing 3.11 lists all the bundles, along with their bundle id and state.
Table 3.3 lists all the possible states of an OSGi bundle.Table 3.3. OSGi Bundle States
The bundle is uninstalled and is unusable.
The bundle has been installed, but the platform has not yet resolved it.
The bundle has been resolved and is in a position to be started.Note that it is still possible for the bundle to fail to start, even though it has been resolved by the environment.
Similar to RESOLVED, the platform has resolved the bundle and is in a position to be started. The bundle is not yet ACTIVE because it has been configured (via its bundle manifest) to be initialized lazily–that is, only when another ACTIVE bundle references the bundle will it be activated.
The bundle is in the process of starting. Either another bundle has specifically caused the bundle to start (by referring to a class within the bundle) or the user has manually started the bundle via the console. Rarely is a bundle in this state because it is transient.
The bundle is in the process of shutting down. Similar to STARTING, a bundle rarely is in this state.
The bundle is running within the OSGi platform.
Developers and administrators should be aware that, on the Domino server, the state of a bundle is not persisted from one session to the next—that is, after the HTTP task is restarted, any bundles that were started manually in the previous session must be started again. Luckily, the ss command has an argument for filtering all bundles in a given state. The ss command can filter the bundles based on their state, by appending -s [state] to the command syntax.
Sample usage:tell http osgi ss -s active
Figure 3.5 shows the output of running the ss command with the -s active argument.
Figure 3.5. Result of running the ss command in the Domino server consolestart <bundle-symbolic-name>
This command requests that the platform manually start the specified bundle. Calling this command does not guarantee that the specified bundle will be started. An exception can still occur during bundle initialization that would cause the bundle initialization to fail. Performing an ss command after the start command reports the status of the bundle. This command is helpful when a new bundle has been installed on the server, but the administrator or developer is not in a position to restart the HTTP task to start the new bundle.
Sample usage:tell http osgi start com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt
Figure 3.6 shows that, by running a combination of the ss and start commands, a bundle can be started and its state can be verified.
Figure 3.6. Result of running the start and ss commands in the consolestop <bundle-symbolic-name>
This command tells the platform to stop the specified bundle. Users should be careful when calling this on a production environment. In some cases, it might not be possible for the platform to stop the bundle. If this is the case, the reason will be printed to the console.
Sample usage:tell http osgi stop com.ibm.xsp.extlib.sbt
Figure 3.7 shows how running a combination of the ss and stop command stops a bundle and verifies its state.
Figure 3.7. Result of running the start and ss commands in the consoleb <bundle-symbolic-name>
This command prints all metadata relating to the specified bundle. The metadata includes imported packages, required bundles, exported packages, bundle location, and so on. This command is useful when the developer needs to quickly verify that the bundle loaded by the platform has the meta information that the developer believes it has.
Sample usage:tell http osgi b com.ibm.xsp.extlib

This command is convenient for checking information such as the packages that a specific bundle exports or the bundles that the specified bundle depends upon. All the information stored in the bundle’s manifest.mf file is printed to the console.

July 31, 2008 10:54 ET
ARMONK, NY--(Marketwire - July 31, 2008) - Led by strong sales of IBM (NYSE: IBM) Lotus Notes and Domino 8 in the second quarter of 2008, IBM's Lotus software business outgrew Microsoft by winning millions of customer seats worldwide in direct competition with Microsoft, aided by key wins over its Redmond-based rival in emerging markets.
IBM's emerging markets represented 18 percent of IBM's overall geographic revenue in the second quarter of 2008, and together grew 21 percent as reported. In addition, the Brazil, Russia, India and China subset grew 31 percent in the second quarter, led by strong growth in India.
Among those customer wins was Lotus' largest Asian customer engagement to date -- a major bank licensing 300,000 Lotus Notes seats as well as Lotus Symphony, IBM's free personal productivity software based on the the OpenDocument Format. Lotus Symphony has been downloaded by over 1.3 million individuals and businesses, including scores of Microsoft Office customers. Customers that chose Lotus Notes and Domino over Microsoft in key markets included Max New York Life, Reliance Industries, Vedanta, and Aviva in India; GD Development Bank, Johnson Electric, HKG Environ Protect, CED, DL Cosco Shipyard in China; Affin Bank and Trakando in Singapore; and Russian Railways in Russia.
"Enterprise customers -- especially many rapidly-growing businesses in emerging global markets -- are choosing Lotus software for its open, flexible design," said Bob Picciano general manager, Lotus Software. "These companies prefer open standards over the restrictions of legacy proprietary technology for their long-term collaboration investments."
The second quarter saw the largest historical client win for Lotus in North America as well. A member of the so-called "big six" accounting/consulting firms purchased more than 150,000 seats of the entire Lotus portfolio, selecting Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Connections, IBM Lotus Quickr and WebSphere Portal over Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, among other products. Other large companies that chose Lotus Notes and other Lotus software over Microsoft products included several leading banks in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Germany, as well as the Australian government.
Other clients who have recently invested in Lotus Notes and other Lotus software over the competition include consumer goods giant Colgate-Palmolive, chemical manufacturer Ineos of Belgium, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, NutraFlo, Dutch Railways, Rohm Haas, Imerys and the Salvation Army. Specifically moving to Lotus Notes 8 were CFE Compagnie d'Enterprises of France, Virginia Commonweath University, Winsol International, The U.S. General Services Administration, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Standard Insurance, New York Life, Kentucky Baptist Convention, Verizon, Publishers Printing, Hyatt Hotels, Union Pacific and Nationwide Insurance.
Many clients of all sizes are questioning their investments in legacy Microsoft software products. Migrating to new versions of Microsoft Exchange has proven to be a daunting and expensive task. Ferris Research recently published a report (Exchange 2007 Implementation Issues, December 2007) that indicated 70% of Microsoft customers felt that migrating to Exchange 2007 was either "Difficult or Very Difficult."
Large companies are concerned with the prospect of upgrading to Microsoft's Vista operating system and continued high percentage of IT costs devoted to personal computers amid challenging economic conditions. Meanwhile, more strategic IT investments that could spur top-line revenue growth go unfunded and unrealized.
Increasingly, both public and private sector companies are looking at open alternatives such as IBM Lotus Symphony and other solutions from OpenOffice.org. One such organization that is making the switch to Lotus Symphony is the Anglican Church of Australia, which stated publicly that it will save an estimated AU$150,000 a year.
Industry analysts credit Lotus with a more innovative, open portfolio that gives businesses freedom of choice, lower IT costs, and more insightful employee tools. For example, the industry's first enterprise social networking product, IBM Lotus Connections, doubled its client base this year after debuting as the fastest growing new IBM software product in 2007. At the recent Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston, attendees witnessed a demonstration comparison pitting IBM Lotus Connections against Microsoft SharePoint. Moderator Mike Gotta of the Burton Group summed up the audience's reaction in his blog, "Collaborative Thinking." He wrote, "IBM was the clear winner across the board. Maybe Microsoft underestimated IBM. And in some cases, decision-makers are more open to at least considering alternate solutions they might not have even entertained before (which would be good news for IBM and Jive in particular)."
IBM Lotus Sametime, IBM's platform for unified communications and collaboration, vaulted to over 100 million individual licensed seats in the second quarter with one-third of sales going to Microsoft customers. IBM WebSphere Portal software with Web 2.0 technology has won marketshare leadership for seven consecutive years by leading research firms, Gartner and IDC (see separate release today). Lotus has also launched new products in the software mashup, computer appliance, and software-as-a-service categories.
With 15 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, IBM's flagship Lotus Notes and Domino products has been transformed into a versatile tool that consolidates the individual's work world onto one screen, employs Web 2.0 technologies and reduces time spent on email. Lotus Notes and Domino adoption has grown to more than 140 million licenses with gains across small-medium business, more than half of the largest 100 corporations in the world, 80 percent of the top 10 global companies in banking, telecommunications, aerospace and defense, consumer products, electronics, insurance, and pharmaceuticals.
